Aide says hospitalized Falwell is ‘steady and strong’
LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) — Rev. Jerry Falwell spent a comfortable night in the hospital but the Moral Majority founder remains critically ill and on a ventilator, a top aide said last week. “He’s very stable. His vitals are steady and strong,” Falwell’s executive assistant, Ron Godwin, said. Falwell, 71, was admitted to Lynchburg General Hospital in “respiratory arrest” late on March 28. Following the November election, Falwell announced he was forming the Faith & Values Coalition to push a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage.
